flight training, general parrot training questions?

Can anyone recommend any good books on parrot training? Particularly anything about flight training, coming when called etc, not just step up step down.

Really just parrot training in general, and anything particularly geared towards conures (green cheeked)

Also, if anyone has any of their own tips on the matter all information is welcome. I'm considering getting a rescued green cheeked conure and I'm also interested in hearing about peoples experiences with this breed.

Bird tricks??

How do i make my cockatiel talk… if cockatiels even do talk .
And also, how do i get my cockatiel to sing some songs??? I want him to sing the entertainer :3

Some cockatiels do talk but mostly the males. You can take it to a bird store (where they groom and clip the wings) and they will be able to tell you if it is male or female.
Not all male cockatiels will talk just like any other parrot talking, some just do and some just don't.
All you can do is work with it and repeat things over and over and play the song you want it to sing over and over, either it will do it or it won't. Either way it will love the attention and you will be making a good bond with your bird.

Clicker parrot training

Training my blue front amazon with clicker training. Firstly i use basic targeting, i then use a 1 foot step up. Then eventually a target and step up (luring).

Lovebird Tricks/bird training/SMART PARROT!!!

Tico is a peachfaced lovebird who I am AMAZED at because of all the tricks he does! He is one of the smartest lovebirds that I’ve ever SEEN! Thanks to a VERY helpfull person who tought me how to train Tico!
I absolutely do NOT know what I would do without my baby Tico! He’s my little angel and he loves me as much as I love him!
