Birds naturally poop, usually for three reasons…1 just because they have to, 2 because they are scared or nervous, or 3, because they are about to fly, and it lightens them. Im not sure that birds can be trained like other animals not to poop in certain spots.

You can potty-train a bird. It's fairly simple, but you have to be consistent while you're doing it. First you have to recognize the signal your bird gives immediately before they poop. Most birds squat down a little bit and raise their tail. When you see that indicator, hold your bird over the area you want him or her to "go" on and say "go potty" or some other trigger phrase. Then it's just a matter of paying attention and repeating that pattern and that phrase every time you see your bird's ready to drop a bomb. There will be accidents, but eventually, your bird will learn to "go" on command.
